We hope you are all enjoyed the festivities of a fun and relaxing holiday season. Now back into the swing of things we have been full steam ahead. With a number of projects on the go we would like to take a moment to introduce our lovely and very talented new Marketing and Sales Consultant, Hayley Beaden. A recent MBA graduate, Hayley has an eye for aesthetics and a love for new technology. It is with Hayley's love for new technology that we give you TECHNOPHILIA + THE EXTRATERRESTRIAL.

Here we have selected a handful of lighting solutions which push todays technological innovations in materials, manufacturing processes and illumination to the edge. Coupled with extraterrestrial aesthetics and forward-thinking design we feature wares from LUMINA, DECODE, OTY LIGHTING, ASTRO and ITRE.

This discreet linear suspended luminaire follows the slick user-based design principles adhered to by Apple. Concealed ceiling canopies hide un-sightly joinery and a flush recessed LED lamp sits in the lower half of its cylindrical body. Made from aluminium the Pop Brooklyn is available in white or black.
Vessel Series designed by Samuel Wilkinson for DECODE.
These mouth-blown glass bulbs mute light when illuminated and produce an unexpected, irregular reflection that appears holographic. The Vessel was designed to house the Plumen 001 low-energy light bulb previously designed by Wilkinson and Hulger. With individual angled cuts across each bulb the lamp has the ability to be suspended or displayed on the floor or table tops. Available in sepia, bronze or dark grey.
Sky Line recessed linear lamp designed by Harbour Design for OTY Light.
This modular linear lamp can be mounted in recesses for plasterboard or concrete. With the option for up to four linear compositions to be adjoined, this luminaire can stretch across a wide expanse of a staircase or hallway. A 5mm outstanding white, satin, methacrylate diffuser covers the whole frame.
Ra table lamp designed by Ettore Cimini for LUMINA.
This sexy, snake-like table lamp is made from steel and techno polymers and features two adjustable arms. Silicum fiber optics carry light from a 100W lamp at the base of the fitting to the mouths of the snake heads. The light can be dimmed and red, blue, or green colour filters can be applied, all controlled by touch.
Orbital designed by Viable London for DECODE.
The overall concept of Orbital stems from an appraisal of the way light from a bulb can be softened. Orbital uses internal reflection and refraction to accomplish a unique diffusion. The light can be reflected and refracted several times before it emerges, diffusing light and reducing glare. Orbital uses three adjustable layers of grey tinted hand-blown glass around the bulb.
Geco adjustable lamp designed by Fabio De Silva & Jaime Lozoya for LUMINA.
This versatile lamp consists of two die-cast bases and a pair of flexible ribbons in harmonic steel comprising 7 LED lighting units. Geco introduces an innovation to the lighting world, two flexible arms assume every shape and position and bring a sculptural element to the space. Manoeuvre around extrusions, create floating light behind objects, the possibilities are endless. Available in black or white.
Numero sign by ASTRO.
This sign operates on two 1W LEDs which illuminate an acrylic block suspended by a matte, nickel wall mounting. The acrylic block is etched with individual text, graphics or numbers required for signposting and can be ordered separately.
Zero down light designed by Valerio Cometti and V12 Design for ITRE.
This forward-thinking ceiling luminaire is equipped with dimmable LED technology, RGB static or dynamic colour-change effect, FM Radio and Bluetooth 2.0 connection (remote control included). Zero is made from recycled die-cast aluminium with the ability to be mounted or recessed into a ceiling. Available in chrome and white.
